What should I blog about?

Hello and welcome!

First off, thanks for stopping by!  This blog is simply going to be everything handmade. Things I love, want to make, are making, or have made :)

A little about me...
my all-in-one changing clutch
I am a stay at home mommy of two beautiful boys, Cale (2 1/2) and Elias (11mths). Yes, I can admit it I am one of "those" mom's that homeschools, cloth diapers, and makes everything with organic products and always from scratch. hehe

I recently started my very own shop on www.etsy.com, called The Itti-Bitti Baby Boutique. You should check it out! www.mommmyerica.etsy.com  I make baby slings, bibs, passy clips, gift sets and my best selling item, my all-in-one changing pad.

I've been sewing since before I could remember. I learned eveything I know from my Grandmother, Betty.   My grandmother sewed EVERYTHING! from dresses to dog beds and with visiting through the summers growing up, I learned all sorts of crafting skills. After I was given my first sewing machine I also began sewing everything, from prom dresses to pillows. After creating things for myself that seemed to make my life so much more simpler, my friends began asking me if I could make something for them. Naturally, my next step was an Etsy shop, which has pushed me as a designer and a mommy.

I like to create anything to make my life easier as a mother and it's enough to think that maybe another mommy out there might need these same things. The more I sell, the more motivated I am to get up and make my baby items for the people out there going on errands, trips and playdates without them!

I'm always looking for my "next project" and I've currently decided I am not in love with my diaper bag anymore.  It's to big, to loose and I think I found the bag to replace it. It's Amy Butler's Sophia carrie-all bag. I love it! It's simple, medium sized with a zipper and sleek. Everything I need in a diaper bag. I just need to decide on a material. I'll keep you posted. The other project I'm up to my eyeballs in, is my son Elias' first birthday party! It's going to be a Dr. Seuss theme with a whole bunch of characters.  I'm making a whole bunch of fun decorations as well as his cupcakes, and birthday "smash" cake. Mann I can't believe my second baby is turning one... *tear*

Anyways thats all for now...  until we meet again!
